Who can register a .com.au domain?

Under auDA rules, a .com.au domain requires a valid Australian presence — an ABN, ACN or registered Australian business name. You do not need to upload anything: we validate eligibility automatically at checkout against the Australian Business Register. If you are a sole trader, company or partnership with an ABN, you are eligible. (Since 2021 the old "exact match to your business name" rule no longer applies — any eligible Australian entity can register an available .com.au name.)
